The HDK-03 explores new HD glitch aesthetic territory and delivers on a longtime multimedia dream of mine…. low latency MIDI/CV synched HD visuals.  The HDK-03 explores a truly primo corrupted scaler environment via two modes of operation.  First is explore mode. You’ve got 23 points of glitch interactivity to drum on via the soft LED pushbuttons.  You learn the raw machine underbelly in this mode and become familiar with all the effects the HDK-03 is capable of concocting; delay line glitches, wild color skews, horizontal/vertical fragmentation & digital noise unique to this scaler environment (and the HDK-03).  Second you’ve got step sequenced mode accessed via the bottom 16 pads.  Here you set your sequence mode based on either an internal clock, external midi clock or a cv clock signal.  Working within a one bar loop you hold down a step (pad) to set the corresponding effect you would like on that step.  With this you build up a full programmed sequence that can be saved and recalled via a multi bank series of presets.  You’ve got access to 6 banks of presets with 3 sequences available for quick recall at any time.  The HDK-03 marks a new trajectory in BPMC product development with the focus going forward being on a more multimedia approach.
